The Butterfly Method is a technique where the weft opens from the seam upwards. In this process, the top seam of the lower section of the weft features holes that allow you to use a crochet hook to pull the hair through. Afterward, connect two strands of hair from the hole using an Aluminum bead lined with silicone, which you then clamp securely. The upper part of the weft folds down, creating a seamless appearance due to its thinness and close placement to the scalp.

This extension method is great to add length, thickness, color or all of the above to your hair. The most loved part of these extensions is the efficiency of time spent to install. Each row goes can be installed in 15- 30 minutes.

Things You CANNOT do with these extensions:

No high pony tails and no tight braids - as this will stretch the wefts and tug at the hair, which can result in damage to your scalp.

No Submerging in water with dry hair- this could create matting and tangling between the scalp and wefts. If you must go swimming in a body of water, be sure to fully saturate your hair with water and leave in conditioner securing into a braid for the least amount of damage. Be aware that this will affect the longevity of your extensions and you will not get the most from your investment.

Maintenance:

Appointments are required every 4-6 weeks for move ups depending on your hair growth. A mini move up is 4-6 weeks after the initial install. During this appointment you will move the weft up while the beads are still intact bringing the wefts back up to the part and pinning in place. Remove all the beads and replace. Every other move up, your will do a full reinstall or a “Dry Clean”. Dry clean move ups take 3-5 minutes to uninstall then we will wash, treat and blowout both the weft and your hair to fully reinstall. You MUST dry your dry your extensions every time your hair gets wet!
